Abstract
Since pension funds are among the most important and effective organizations in economic and social environments, it is critical to study their problems ahead. Asset and liability management (ALM) is a useful tool to study pension funds and their stakeholders. This paper tries to understand the key factors effecting on ALM and to analyze them using system dynamics. Fuzzy inference engine is also used to quantify the important risks in ALM. Results show that considering ALM and stakeholders’ benefits as whole and paying attention to risk factors such as changing population are the key factors for successful ALM.

Abstract
In this study, using Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Model (DSGE model) the hypothesis of asymmetry of monetary shocks in the Iranian business cycle during the period of 1979-2012 is tested on macroeconomic variables. The designed model broadens the analytical framework of dynamic equilibrium models with respect to the economic characteristics of an oil-exporting country. To extract business cycles, the Hodrick-Prescott filtering process has been used. The results of the research indicate that the effects of positive and negative monetary shocks during ascendancy and economic prosperity are asymmetric, so that the effect of positive shock during the recession period in the Iranian economy during the studied period was stronger than the negative shock level. On the other hand, the results show that the effect of positive shocks during the boom period in the Iranian economy on the price level changes its size in proportion to the size of the shock; however, the effect of negative shocks during the boom on the level of prices initially reduced inflation and then after a short time Inflation increases again. Therefore, it can be stated that in the economy of Iran both inflation and economic boom will increase. In the case of production and investment, this asymmetry is in a way that results in a broader expansionary policy in a recession and, in economic prosperity, the optimal political policy is contractionary.

Abstract
The level of asymmetric information in financial markets is important for its impact on the market formation, price levels and its interaction with investment risk. Also, determining the optimal rules by policy makers and determining the trading strategy by investors is done according to the level of information symmetry in the market. In financial literature, many metrics have been developed to measure the asymmetry of market information. In recent years, another measure known as probability of informed trading (PIN) has been introduced to measure the level of asymmetric information, based on the framework of market microstructure. Larger PINs from 0 to 1 range indicate higher information asymmetry levels. In this study, using the Easley, O'Hara (1992) approach, the probability informed trading as a measure of the level of market information asymmetry for the 12 selected companies from listed companies in Tehran Stock Exchange is estimated. We used maximum likelihood to estimate parameters with R package. The results show that average of PIN varies from 0.35 to 0.4 for different companies.

Abstract
The impact of monetary policy on nominal and real variables in the economy is very important and controversial issues in monetary economics. Thus, the interaction between the real and monetary sectors, are the questions that different schools of economic have different responses and assumptions in this design is neutral and super-neutral of money in the long run. Accordingly, the acceptance or rejection each of the above hypotheses, effects on the role of monetary policy in the economy. This study, has been investigated the effects of monetary policy in the framework of a dynamic general equilibrium model on inflation and welfare, based on the money in utility function in Iran's economy. Then, the model is solved by using dynamic optimization and analyzed the results in the steady state. Calibration results and sensitivity analysis in steady state indicate that by decreasing the growth rate of money supply from 22% in the base state to 12%, reduces inflation rate from 20.45% to 10.57% decrease and increases real money balances from 0.1304 to 0.1352 unit, But the ratio of capital to labor, per capita production and per capita consumption do not change in the steady state. Finally, with a decrease in the rate of monetary growth and the increase in real money balances, the welfare increases in the steady state situation.

Abstract
Risk-taking channel refers to the banks’ risky activities following the expansionary monetary policy. This channel may affect the financial and output stability. The risk-taking channel can influence bank soundness and hence be a source of financial instability and financial crisis. This topic has been the focus of many researches after the financial crisis of 2008. Using the structural vector autoregressive model, this paper investigates the existence of a risk-taking channel in Iran’s banking system for the period 2006:2-2015:1. The results of impulse-response functions confirm the presence of risk-taking channel in the Iran’s banking system. This channel is considered to be one of the sources of high non-performing loans in Iran’s banking system. Therefore, banking supervision and macro prudential policies may reduce the banks’ risky activities. Moreover, introducing risk-taking channel into the central bank’s loss function might be helpful in achieving financial stability and reducing the negative impacts of risk-taking channel on output and economic growth in Iran.

Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the dynamics of information risk at the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). We estimated the daily probability of information based trade (PIN) for 22 stocks from 11 different industries of TSE over 4 years. The total average of the daily PIN for all stocks was 27% from 2013 to 2016. The lowest and the highest average of PIN estimates for individual stocks are 20.2% and 39.4%, respectively. In this research, the lowest and the highest daily PIN for individual stocks are estimated as 1.2% and 93.3%, respectively, which indicate that information risk varies substantially along time and there is a substantial need to use dynamic models to study this risk. Generally, it seems that the average and the maximum of information risk at TSE are much higher than in developed markets. Results showed that petrochemical and metal industries benefit from the lowest information risk and the highest is recorded for insurance and cement industries.

Abstract
Credit risk is due to that recipients of the facility, deliberately or involuntarily, don’t have ability to repay their debts to the banking system that this risk is critical in Iran compared to the global. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of macroeconomic variables on credit risk of Iranian banking industry during the 2006-2016 years and also simulation and prediction of credit risk situation in 2017 under different stress scenarios, bu using stress test. Data used in this research is time series and seasonal. In order to implement a stress test and achieve the purpose of the research, first, the effective macroeconomic variables and the rate of each one's influence on the credit risk are determined using Auto-Regressive Distributed Lags (ARDL). Accordingly, the inflation rate, exchange rate, unemployment rate and housing index in total have a positive effect and variables GDP, the interest rate of bank facilities and the volume of concessional facilities to both government and non-governmental sectors, have a negative impact on credit risk. In the following, using the stress test, simulation of critical situations and prediction of credit risk values in 2017. This was done in three scenarios with titles of mild stress, extreme stress, and hyperstress that in each scenario, different shocks are applied to the variables affecting credit risk. The results of the stress test and scenarios show that the compulsory reduction of interest rates on bank facilities in all three scenarios, initially in the second quarter of 2017, leads to a reduction in credit risk, but rising exchange rates, rising inflation, falling economic growth, as well as accumulation of past values of credit risk, has led to a rapid increase in credit risk and also in scenarios with more severs shocks, has led to catastrophic increase of credit risk in later periods in all scenarios.

Abstract
In the analysis of the stock market and its market indices, instead of estimating returns and their distributions at a given time interval, it is possible to extract optimal time to achieve a certain return. In this study, the distribution of investment horizons and optimal investment horizons through inverse gamma statistics method for the indices of automobile, sugar, pharmaceutical, financial and banks industries in Tehran Stock Exchange were extracted, analyzed and compared. The results of the research show that at the levels of access to +5 percent return, automotive, sugar , banking and financial indices have shorter horizons than the total index, while in terms of access to negative returns ,the only indicator of the drug group has a longer horizon than the total index.

Abstract
The present study examined the impact of financial development on the investment of the companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. To achieve this goal, data gathered from 258 companies during 2005 to 2016 and the dynamic generalized method of moments were utilized to formulate the investment model with financial constraints. The results of the study showed that these companies faced financial constraints on investment and financial development has increased their investment by reducing the financial constraints. The results also indicated that the positive effect of financial development on investment has been bigger in the case of larger companies than in smaller companies. It was further revealed that during the economic boom, financial constraints on companies were reduced and financial development led to the reinforcement of the positive effect of the boom on reduction of the companies’ financial constraints

Abstract
Studying currency shocks impact on the stock market could be beneficial regarding to exchange rate fluctuations caused by various exchange policies in recent years. Therefore symmetrical or asymmetrical impacts of negative and positive dollar shockwaves in the market on indexes of chemical and basic metals industry are under investigation by weekly data collected since 2006 up to 2016 as these two industries have the most non-oil exports of Iran. First existence of long-term equilibrium relationship was examined by Pesaran Bound test and confirmed. Afterwards in addition to admitting asymmetric effect of positive and negative foreign exchange shocks on the indexes using WALD test, based on the results of the main model of the research which is the Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag (NARDL), effects of increasing in dollar rate on both indexes are positive and meaningful and the effect of its decreasing is meaningless. In addition the extracted coefficients indicates deeper effects of free dollar rate on the chemical index in comparison with index of the basic metals. OPEC crude oil, which is the control variable considered in this article has a direct and significant effects on both indicators on the short and long term.

Abstract
There is a growing attention to models which contain a broader set of economic data. In recent decade, introduction of Factor Augmented VAR models through augmentation of traditional VAR models with unobservable “factors” has made a new route to econometric modeling. In spite of the growing number of international papers and researches which have used FAVAR approach to modeling policy shocks to various economies, there is little about Iranian economy. So the paper is an attempt to fill the gap in the literature using an FAVAR model to analyze transmission of oil and monetary shocks to Iranian economy. The model contains 35 major macroeconomic annual variables spanning from 1974 to 2014. The results show that “real sector” of Iranian economy responds positively to oil shocks up to 5 years. Also “nominal sector” of the economy responds positively to oil shocks but the responses are shorter, smaller and more volatile than “real sector” responses. Finally the model results show responses of “nominal sector” of Iranian economy to monetary shocks are positive which its duration varies between 2 and 4 years.

Abstract
Considering the importance of the Banking system in Iran economy and taking into account the strategic objectives of bank’s activities to improve their performance indicators, the main objective of the present study was to investigate the impact of internal and external factors affecting the three profitability components; including the return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) and the net income margin (NIM) indicators of 13 private banks' in Iran for the period 2006 to 2016; using structural autoregressive vector panel model. For this purpose, the macro level factors responsible for profitability of banks are divided into internal components; including the quality of management, asset quality, capital adequacy and liquidity and external components such as inflation rate, interest rates, the growth of GDP, and the development of the stock market. The results indicate that the percentage of coverage of liquidity and the ratio of Non-performing loans to total loan as internal bank variables have a negative effects and the growth of GDP as the external variable has positive effect on the profitability components.

Abstract
Iran's economy as a developing and oil economy, needs to choose appropriate exchange rate regime is to achieve its economic goals. Some characteristics such as little diversity in production and trade, weak and underdevelopment financial markets and other features of the Iranian economy, Requires the choice of exchange rate regime be based on the features of the country. However, the choice of exchange rate regime a country, many variables affect that regardless of their choice of currency regime will be difficult and illogical. Hence, in this study using survival analysis and use of Reinhart and Rogoff approach to investigate the role of political and economic factors on the choice of a fixed exchange regime in Iran based on monthly data during the period 1980-2017. The advantage of survival analysis method it is time dependence that may exist in the occurrence of an event be included and the time can be used as a proxy for structural factors and unobservable variable in country. The results showed that political and economic variables affect the choice of the fixed exchange system in the country. The impact of political variables on the country's exchange rate regime shows that only economists are not involved in the decision on the exchange rate in Iran, and the preferences of political officials have a significant impact on foreign exchange policies.

Abstract
In this research, the factors affecting assets quality in banking system of Iran and some implications for creating appropriate buffers of liquidity and non-performing loans in bank assets management has been investigated. In order to that, statistical data related to macroeconomic variables and financial statements of 30 banks from 2006 to 2016 have been used in the framework of a dynamic panel specification. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between inflation rate, domestic gross production growth rate, bank share of total revenues, market Structure and bank liquidity with asset quality, but the growth rate of facilities and special and general reserves for non-performing loans have no significant effect on asset quality. Thus, the framework and the amount of special and general reserves for non-performing loans (unlike the liquidity buffer) failed to provide the necessary buffer to improve the quality of bank assets; so, one of the most important reasons for the persistent aggravation and lack of management of the volume of non-performing loans in banking system is dysfunctional and non-observance of the law in the maintenance of special and general reserves. The main requirement for correcting these conditions is to closely monitor the volume of reserves before refinancing and double overdraft from the central bank and other banks and credit institutions.

Abstract
In this paper, we try to develop and modify the basic model of the consumption-based capital asset pricing model by adding the growth in real money balances rate as a risk factor in the household's utility function as (M-CCAPM). For this purpose, two forms of utility function with constant relative risk aversion (CRRA) preferences and recursive preferences have been used such that M1 and M2 are considered as inputs in the utility function. After estimating the systems of Euler equations using generalized moments method, MSE, MAE, and HJ criteria were used to select the most suitable model for estimating the share of variable of real money balance. The above criteria show that the model with the input of liquidity (M2) and preferences with constant relative risk aversion is the most appropriate model. The results indicate that the share of real money balance in the utility function of Iranian households is statistically significant and is about 34%. Therefore, considering the contribution of the monetary variable to the utility function which is relatively significant, it is emphasized on its entry into the utility functions used in asset pricing models.

Abstract
After the recent financial crisis, especially the financial crisis 2008, This raises the important question of what is the role of monetary policy in occurrence and prevention of the financial instability? so, this paper investigate the dynamics impact of monetary policy on the stock market returns and instability using Structural Vector Autoregression (SVARs) model During the period 1992:q2 to 2017:q1. In this study, the effect of monetary policies via the various monetary tools used by the Central Bank on the stock market is studied. to illustrate the performance of monetary policies, the four variables of weighted interest rate, monetary base growth rate, bank reserve ratio, and growth of commercial banks' debt to the central bank have been used as monetary policy tools. The results of the impulse response function(IRF) show that monetary policy tools do not affect the stock market returns and instability. The results of the Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD) also show that the share of monetary tools in explaining the changes in stock market returns and instability is insignificant and less than ten percent each. Although, the monetary base share is higher than the others, so the central bank's policy tools do not has a particular impact on the behavior and instability of the stock market.

Abstract
The inflation rate, which measured using consumer price index, can be separated into a combination of two persistent and temporary components. This separating is particularly important in analyzing inflation rate and policies to control it. In fact, without knowing the persistent component of inflation, called core inflation, quantitative targeting of inflation may not be accurate. Core inflation as a more persistent component can be measured stripping out the transitory movements in prices. The understanding of the behavior of the national core inflation rate series needs to understand provincial core inflation since the construction of the former is based on the provincial series. So, the purpose of this paper is the estimation of provincial and national core inflation in Iran. Core inflation is unobservable variable, so it estimated using Space State Model and Kalman Filter. Results show that average core inflation in all of the provinces, as well as Iran, is less than average underlying inflation. The standard deviation of core inflation in some provinces is more than underlying inflation. While core inflation in other provinces, as well as Iran, has more standard deviation as compared to underlying inflation.

Abstract
Insurance as a central risk-taking institution as well as one of the investment institutions increases economic participation, investment development and stimulating economic growth. Therefore, identification of the effective factors on the insurance penetration in developing countries seems necessary. In this regard, the present study attempted to investigate the impact of national competitiveness on insurance penetration coefficient in 20 developing countries during the period 2007-2017. The research model was estimated using panel data and generalized moment’s method in two case. In the first case, the sub-indicators of national competitiveness including basic requirements, efficiency enhancer’s factors and innovation and sophistication factors were used as key variables in the research, and in the second case, the overall competitiveness index is used as a key variable in the research model. The results showed that the effect of overall competitiveness index and its sub-indicators on insurance penetration was positive and significant. Also, the effect of control variables, including per capita income and urbanization rate on insurance penetration is positive and significant, and the effect of dependency ratio on insurance penetration is negative and significant.

Abstract
In recent years, the development of Securities markets has contributed greatly to the flourishing and development of countries. Having a structured and dynamic capital market has been one of the basic requirements of countries on the path of development, and the role of this market in creating economic equilibrium is known to everyone. Therefore, explaining the volatility of the stock market is very important. Meanwhile, the interaction between the stock market and the exchange rate has been the subject of much research by many researchers. The exchange rate is a key variable that neglecting it can create problems and issues for the economy of any country in various dimensions. Therefore, the present study, by specifying a system of simultaneous equations, has examined the simultaneous interactions between the exchange rate and the stock market in Iran, using seasonal data from 2007 to 2017. The variables used in this system are the exchange rate, stock price index, gold price, oil price, liquidity, and consumer price index. The results of this study showed that the exchange rate has a positive and significant effect on the stock price index in Iran and as the exchange rate rises, the stock price index will also rise. Moreover, the stock price index has a statistically significant effect on the exchange rate in Iran. The results of estimating the model show that the effect of the stock price index on the exchange rate is negative and significant, i.e., as the stock price index increases, the exchange rate decreases.

Abstract
In monetary and financial literature, financial crises include a wide range of crises. But in general, there are three important types of financial crisis, including the currency crisis. The banking crisis and the debt crisis. The aim of this study is to simultaneously analyze the occurrence of banking, debt and currency crises, known as the three crises in Iran. For this purpose, first to determine the indicators related to banking crises, currency and debt payments and using logistics and self-regression vector models during the 1980 to 2017 seasonally, we have discussed the relationship between these three crises. The results show that the three banking crises, debt and currency, affect each other. The short-term results of the VAR model showed the effect of the banking crisis and the currency crisis on the debt crisis is positive and significant, indicating an increase in the likelihood of a banking crisis and the currency will increase the debt of the government and the country. Also, the effects of banking and debt crises on the currency crisis are positive and significant. This indicates the existence of causal relationship between banking crises and debt on the currency crisis. The results of the Logit model show that the effect of inflation variables, liquidity growth and the growth of the exchange rate on the indicators of the three crises that are significant and positive in most models.
