Author Guide line :

Note: The format of the submission will be checked only after acceptance and therefore you don't need to adjust the format for the first submission.

  • Submission of your manuscript

Manuscripts should be submitted by the corresponding authors through only our online manuscript tracking systems (MTS) via jemr.khu.ac.ir/form_register.php?&slct_pg_id=27&sid=1&slc_lang=en. The electronic Word files can be submitted through the mentioned system. Submissions by anyone other than one of the authors will not be accepted. • Peer Review

All manuscripts are assessed in accordance with the peer review principle. An editor will assess a submitted manuscript initially for its suitability in general terms. If a manuscript is evaluated suitable, it is forwarded to two or more peer reviewers. The editor cannot designate himself as a peer reviewer. You can see peer review process section for more information via https://jemr.khu.ac.ir/content/56/Peer-Review-Process

  • Submission declaration

Submission of an article implies that the work described has not been published previously, nor is it under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors  also certify that its publication is approved by all authors and tacitly or explicitly by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out, and that, if accepted, it will not be published elsewhere, including electronically in the same form, in English or in any other language, without the written consent of the copyright-holder.

  • Conflict of interest

The authors should certify that they have no affiliations with or involvement in any organization or entity with any financial interest (such as honoraria; educational grants; participation in speakers’ bureaus; membership, employment, consultancies, stock ownership, or other equity interest; and expert testimony or patent-licensing arrangements), or non-financial interest (such as personal or professional relationships, affiliations, knowledge or beliefs) in the subject matter or materials discussed in this manuscript.

Upon submission of an article, authors are supposed to include all figures and tables in the PDF file of the manuscript. Figures and tables should not be submitted in separate files. If the article is accepted, authors will be asked to provide the source files of the figures. Each figure should be supplied in a separate electronic file. All figures should be cited in the paper in a consecutive order and figure caption should be cited under the figure. Figures should be supplied in either vector art formats (Illustrator, EPS, WMF, FreeHand, CorelDraw, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) or bitmap formats (Photoshop, TIFF, GIF, JPEG, etc.). Bitmap images should be of 300 dpi resolution at least, unless the resolution is intentionally set to a lower level for scientific reasons. If a bitmap image has labels, the image and labels should be embedded in separate layers.

  • Tables

Tables should be cited consecutively in the text. Every table must have a descriptive title and if numerical measurements are given, the units should be included in the column heading. The explanation of the table must be written above it.

  • Article Structure

The text of the article should include the following:

  • Title: as short as possible, with no abbreviations or acronyms.
  • Abstract: This section should be succinct, with no subheadings, approximately 100 words, maximum 200.

  • Acknowledgment: All acknowledgments (if any) should be included at the very end of the paper before the references. Supporting grants, presentations, and so forth may also be included.
  • References and Notes:

IJSOM uses the short reference system for citations in the text with a detailed alphabetical list at the end of the article. For example 'Morse (2000) suggests ...' or ‘Morse and Boyle (1995) found that ...' or 'A study of economic change (Boyle and Morse, 1982) has shown that ...'

References should be made only to works that are published, accepted for publication (not merely 'submitted'), or available through libraries or institutions. Any other source should be qualified by a note regarding availability. Full reference should include all authors' names and initials, date of publication, title of article, title of publication (italics), volume and issue number (of a journal), publisher and form (books, conference proceedings) and page numbers.

* Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Any references cited in the abstract must be given in full.

The references formats are as follows:

  • Appendix

If the work contains more than one appendix, identify them as A, B, etc. Formulae and equations in appendices must be given separate numbering: Eq. (A.1), Eq. (A.2), etc.; in a subsequent appendix, Eq. (B.1) and so on.

  • plagiarism

IJSOM has a policy of screening for plagiarism, it means whenever you paraphrase, summarize, or take words, phrases, or sentences from another person's work, it is necessary to indicate the source of the information within your paper using an internal citation. It is not enough to just list the source in a bibliography at the end of your paper. Failing to properly quote, cite or acknowledge someone else's words or ideas with an internal citation is plagiarism.
