Abstract

Since the establishment of formal education in Iran, there has always been an emphasis on the application of mathematics in real life situation. To measure students’s competencies in applying mathematics in real life situations, there is a need to design a test with this purpose. During the current decade, PISA has been conducted in various countries to measure sudents’ competencies needed for solving real life problems in 15 years old. Because of the reliable systematic framework of PISA regarding mathematics literacy (ML) as a construct, agreed by mathematics experts, PISA framework has been chosen as a suitable framework to design a test to assess students’ competencies for ML. In this paper, we explain the stages of designing a similar test for the Iranian students of the same age. The approach to design the test is cognitive-diagnostic according to the framework of PISA and required modifications were made based on mathematics teachers’ viewpoints in Tehran. The final test items are based on three processes of mathematics literacy which consist of formulation employment and interpretation/ evaluation, and six cognitive competencies including communication, mathematising, representation, reasoning and argument, devising strategies for solving problems and using symbolic, formal and technical language and operations, in addition, four real context of personal societal occupational and scientific and finally four content area of quantity uncertainty and data change and relationships and space and shape.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education (EE) is a fast growing field; despite of this, the content and teaching strategies are vague. This paper collected the studies on goals, content, teaching and evaluation approaches of EE, and by synthesizing them, provided an appropriate compound of them. The criteria for selecting the studies were examination one or more of mentioned components among 2000-2016. Findings of each component have been discussed and by synthesizing them, the final conclusion has been approved. According to this study, EE goals in elementary level include familiarizing with basic concepts, motivation, interest and entrepreneurial spirit. The secondary level objectives are promotion of entrepreneurial skills and competencies. Content is developed based on goals, and is integrated in three first years, and then is delivered in both integration and discrete. Active teaching strategies, especially induction and intuition, are appropriate. The authentic evaluation methods and formative evaluation approches are more fit with entrepreneurship nature.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship education has a significant effect on the economic growth of societies. The goal of entrepreneurship education is to develop skills and entrepreneurial skills. By developing these skills at an earier age, young, capable, creative and innovative people can be found in all aspects of social, cultural, political and economic life. The purpose of the research is to model for designing an entrepreneurship education curriculum for the the junior high School students. Field of study is includes texts and authoritative documents of curriculum and entrepreneurship education. The tatistical population of the experts and professors of the university, and the statistical sample, wer 30 curriculum and entrepreneurship specialists who were selected by avilable method. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire and interview. The method of research is mixed. The research findings inglude a patterned design for entrepreneurship education for the junior high School students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design and validate the curriculum study pattern based on extra - curricular activities in the elementary stage.to achieve this goal, has been used synthesis method in pattern design and Delphi method in validation.The statistical population of this study consists of upstream and library and electronic documents of national and national in the curricular activities and   curriculum study specialists. Also, the sampling method is purposive.Findings demonstrated the curriculum study pattern for students with basic features in the field of learning enrichment, curriculum and leisure time, improve academic performance, elimination deficiencies and shortcomings of the formal curricula of the educational system, and attention to the characteristics, talents, differences and abilities of individual, local and regional. so that the characteristics of each of the nine elements of the curriculum fit in accordance with the conditions of the students and experts opinions, respectively

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is investigating the internal consistency of the electrotechnical field curriculum in technical and vocational branch from the view point of stakeholders. This study is practical in purpose and is done using the quantitative method. The statistical population includes all of the educational manager, teachers and students of electrotechnical field in Yazd province. A census method was used to select the sample. In order to gather data, the researcher-made questionnaire was used. The questionnaire validity and reliability was respectively confirmed by CVI index and Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Eventually Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Tottally, according to Kessels theories in curriculum internal consistency and study findings, the electrotechnical field curriculum does not have the necessary internal consistency and some measures were proposed to increase it accordance with Kessels theories.

Abstract

  The purpose of this research was to employ a mixed method of convergent triangulation design to evaluate the seventh-grade math curriculum. qualitative phase of  study was a case study, whereas quantitative stage was an evaluation study with the CIPP model. research population consisted of  seventh-grade female mathematics teachers and students of Islamshahr. purposeful sampling method was a strategy to collect qualitative data through a semi-structured interview in the qualitative inquiry, while multistage random cluster sampling was running to fill questionnaires and analyzing final exams in the quantitative study. results showed that quality of the context is high and desirable, where the condition of input is low and unsuitable. Moreover, the quality of the process and product was acceptable from the teachers and students' points of view. In addition, analyzing mathematics examinations indicated that the knowledge of students is insufficient, while they did not also have a positive attitude towards mathematics.

Abstract

The study aim wasto designingand validationthe patternof self-learning packagefor multi-grade classesin secondprimary school&to investigateits internal validity.The method wasa mixed method withsequential exploratory design.In the qualitative part,the qualitativecontent analysis methodwas used,and in the quantitative part,the survey method was used for internal validity.In the qualitative part community wereall multigrade teachers,educational leaders,specialistsand experts and alldocuments and theoreticaland research resourcesof multigrade classes that15persons andrelated resources as samples were choosenusing targeted sampling method.Sample size was determined basedonthe principleof theoretical saturation.Data collection tools were reviewof theoreticaland research foundations and semi-structured interviews.In the quantitative part,for internal validity,the research population includedall multi-grade teachers and instructional design specialists,whom30peoples were selected by available sampling method that the commented about pattern in the first and final stagesof designing.The datacollection toolwas a researcher-made questionnaire.The findingsof the qualitative section showed8main components.Internal validity findings using one-samplet-test showed that the meanof all itemswas higherthan the hypothetical mean of3andthis differencewas significant.Accordingly,the self-learning package patternhas internal validity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop framework for the media literacy curriculum at Farhangian University. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach through interviews with 28 experts in three groups: communication science specialists, educational sciences and media literacy activists. Sampling was performed purposefully. Content validity was used to determine the validity of the interview and the data were analyzed by categorization method. According to experts, the goals of the media literacy curriculum include media studies, media management, critique and analysis skills, user ethics and media use. Content also includes concepts and generalities, media techniques, message critique, consumption pattern modification, ethics, and media usage. For this purpose, explanatory, problem-oriented, participatory-oriented, critical and workshop methods should be used for teaching, and observational, functional, project, test, self-assessment and self-evaluation methods should be used. The obtained framework can be the basis for designing a media literacy curriculum at Farhangian University.

Abstract

This study analyzes Iranian research on science education curriculum focusing on the nature of science.How the nature of science has been addressed in Iranian research on science education curriculum is question. This study was conducted with a qualitative approach and by reviewing Iranian studies. 32 documents were examined and analyzed. The review and analysis indicate that Iranian studies have mainly focused and pay a lot of attention to the intended curriculum, at the expense of sidelining the implemented and acquired curricula.There is little field research from classrooms and a huge gap in interpretive research Also, there is almost no research on teaching the nature of science to primary students.Classroom activities and learners' experiences in educational environments are an integral part of the curriculum, therefore, it is necessary to conduct qualitative field research, such as ethnography, for gaining a deeper understanding of the implemented and experienced levels of the curriculum.
