Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and organizational citizenship behaviors. The statistical population of this study was the staff members of Physical Education Organization of Khorasan-e Razavi Province (N=75). The size of population was selected as, the size of sample. For gathering data, two standard questionnaires, driven from emotional intelligence (Schuz et al, 1993) and organizational citizenship behavior (Organ and Konovsky, 1996) were used. Validity of questionnaires was achieved through considering comments of professors of sport management course and by using Cronbach’s alpha test the reliability of knowledge management and creativity questionnaires were found to be 0.78 and 0.81, respectively. The research method is descriptive and correlational which has been done through field method. Descriptive scales and Kolmogorov-Smirnov statistical tests, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. The results of correlation test indicated that there is a positive and significant relation between (r=0.263, P=0.03) emotional intelligence satisfaction and organizational citizenship behavior. Furthermore between Emotional Intelligence and factors altruism (r=0.249, P=0.041), the conscience (r=0.243, P=0.046) positive and significant relationship was observed. But between emotional intelligence and factors sportsmanship (r=0.121, P=0.327), civic virtue (r=0.063, P=0.612) and courtesy (r=0.107, P=0.384) no-significant relationship was observed. Furthermore the results of regression analysis showed that emotional intelligence is expect to qualify altruism and conscience. Therefore can take the advantage of learned behaviors in the organization, to improve the emotional intelligence of employees paid out and standard work and by improving systems of proper promotion system based on merit principles of mental and emotional efficiency in work and organizational citizenship behavior in the organization expanded.

Abstract

Ackerman (1988) states intelligence and motor ability as the two important
abilities in three learning stages (cognitive, motor and autonomic) of Fitts and
Posner. Therefore, the present study aims at investigating the relationship
between Intelligence Quotient (IQ), motor fitness and anthropometric
characteristics with basic basketball skills learning stages. The population
includes all seven-to-eleven-year-old boys of Aleshtar city, 1054, 60 of whom
were selected using random cluster sampling method. Data collection tools
included Rion’s IQ inventory, standard tests of motor fitness, and basketball skill
tests of Ifred. Statistical analysis was conducted using Pearson correlation
coefficient and linear regression. Correlation between IQ and performance basic
skills of basketball in cognitive stage of learning was significant and its peak. This
correlation in motor and autonomic stages was also significant but decreased. On
the other hand, the correlation of motor fitness and anthropometric characteristics
with performance basic skills of basketball was low but still significant in cognitive
and motor stages. This correlation reached its peak in autonomic stage. Motor
fitness and anthropometric characteristics are more important in autonomic stage
and IQ is more important in motor fitness in cognitive stages of learning shooting,
passing and dribbling skills in basketball.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to predict competition result of judo players base on emotional intelligence and its subscales. To get this research done, a 70 person sample from Population of judo players of national leagues in 90-91 season were selected (age = 22.0 ± 3.36 year, judo experience 8.4 ± 2.33 year). The instrument which used in this research was emotional intelligence questionnaire of “Bar-on” that was completed by athletes prior to the competition. Then, the competition result of each athlete was recorded in the questionnaire by the researcher. To analysis the data, descriptive Statistics, independent t_test and logistic regression were used. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and its subscales with the result of competition and also emotional intelligence including three of its subscales that is: emotional self-awareness, realization, and impulse-control, might be proper predictors of competition result in athletes. Therefore improving and developing of these subscales can be effective in increasing success chance in the athletes

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between emotional intelligence with sport Orientation of Male athletes of Confrontational fields and non_ Confrontational. the method of research is Descriptive-survey and population of the study, 200 participants of Confrontational fields (handball, futsal, basketball, karate, kung fu) and non_ Confrontational (table tennis, chess, swimming, volleyball, gymnastics) of Sanandaj that was randomly selected. Participants of both emotional intelligence questionnaire of Lan et al. (2009) and McGill’s questionnaire and Dieter’s (1998) they were completed. And using Pearson’s correlation and multiple regression tests and Fisher's z at a significance level (level 05 / 0≥p) were analyzed. The result of Correlation analysis showed a significant correlation between emotional intelligence and athletic component of orientation and non-orientation is existing. Also the relationship between emotional intelligence and sport orientation in Confrontational and non_ Confrontational fields is not significant defenses. According to the results of study for achievement of Confrontational and non_ Confrontational athletes, sports equipment recommended.

Abstract

Taking individuals' cognitive abilities into consideration can play an important role in the initial stages of learning motor skills. So, the purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of cognitive functions on feedback request strategy and learning of a perceptual motor task. A number of 60 university male students with a mean age of 22/4 years (SD = 1/99) were selected through convenience sampling and were assigned to 6 groups according to their intelligence quotient, memory quotient and attention scores. All participants performed 100 badminton long services during the practice phase, and 20 services, during the retention and transfer phases. Wechsler Revised Intelligence Test, Wechsler memory scale, Toulouse and Pieron Test, and Scott and Fax Badminton Long Service were used to collect the data on intelligence quotient, memory quotient, attention, and badminton long service performance, respectively. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) with repeated measures and Independent t-test (α=0/05) were used to analyze the collected data. The analyses demonstrated that intelligence quotient, memory quotient, and attention had a significant effect on decreasing feedback request frequency during the acquisition phase, and increasing badminton long service scores during the acquisition, retention and transfer phases. Therefore, it can be concluded that bearing individuals' cognitive abilities in mind during motor skills training can be beneficial.
