Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate simultaneous changes in EMG pattern during learning dart skill in dominant and non-dominant hands. The samples consisted of 10 non-athlete students with an average age of 23±2.5, which were divided into two group dominant hand (5) and non-dominant hand (5). Repeated measures ANOVA were used to measure data at the execution level and changes in EMG activity. The results showed a significant decrease in the absolute error of dart throwing at the performance level and an increase in EMG activity at the muscle level along with a decrease in muscle co-contraction in the acquisition and retention stages in both groups (P<.05). Also, there was no significant difference between EMG activity in the dominant and non-dominant hand groups after skill acquisition (P>.05). Generally, the results of this study showed that along with relatively constant changes in performance during dart skill learning, relatively constant changes in EMG patterns also occur, so that the concept of motor learning is also observed at the muscle level. Also, the results of this study supported the existence of the same motor program for dominant and non-dominant hand control, even in the conditions of bilateral transfer control.

Abstract

The purpose of present study was to investigate the role of motor learning strategies (linear, non-linear, and differential) in the experience of flow and clutch in beginner footballers. Participants (66, M age= 27.49 and SD =2.68) participated in this study voluntarily and based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Participants practiced in three groups: linear, nonlinear, and differential, for three months, two sessions each week and each session one and a half hours. The study method was quantitative and qualitative. In the quantitative part, flow and clutch questionnaire was used and in the qualitative part a semi-structured interview was used. The results of Tukey showed nonlinear pedagogy was effective in flow experience and linear method in clutch experience (p<0.05). In the differential learning, flow was experienced more than linear method (p<0.05) and less than non-linear method (p>0.05). In the qualitative part, four factors of purpose, pleasure, effort and exploration are identified that support the results of the quantitative part. Based on the results of this study, nonlinear and differential methods are effective in the flow experience and linear method are effective in the clutch experience.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the effect of training type (full-error and error-less) and skill level on the development of mental representation of putt golf skill. For this purpose, 44 undergraduate physical education students (22 women, 22 men; mean age 22.34 and standard deviation 4.37) were randomly divided into two groups: error-less (near-to-far) and full-error (far-to-near). The two groups practiced in the one-day acquisition phase of 3 blocks of 10 attempts for throwing distances (25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150 and 200 cm). The error-less group started training from the closest distance to the goal and reached the farthest distance, respectively, but the full-error group started training from the farthest distance and finally reached the closest distance. At the end, they were tested immediately. One day after the acquisition phase, delayed retention tests, single task transfer (from a distance of 225 cm) and dual task transfer (from a distance of 200 cm simultaneously with audio playback) were performed. To compare the effect of error-less and full-error training on the acquisition, retention and transfer of putt golf skills, data analysis of the acquisition stage was analyzed by repeated measures analysis of variance (2×8). SDA-M test was used to measure the structure of mental representations formed in the two groups before and after the acquisition period, and hierarchical cluster analysis  0.05) was used to analyze the mental representations.  Our Findings showed significant functional changes in the post-exercise mental representation structure, suggesting that motor skills are associated with functional adaptation of action-related knowledge in long-term memory.

Abstract

In scientific marketing models, attention is the main step in the effectiveness of advertising. That's why, competition over attention to advertisement has been of prime importance for the sponsors and marketers. However, sport marketing research has not yet been able to gain a proper understanding of the factors that influence the viewer's attention to advertising while watching a sport event. Different methods of data collection and using different evaluation tools can also help managers and sponsors make the right decisions. This semi-experimental research has compared the methods of evaluating TV viewers' attention to advertising through sport. For this purpose, 60 targeted sampling in the form of two groups of women (n = 30) and men (n = 30) watched the football match between Esteghlal and Persepolis in a laboratory site. While samples were watching the football match, meantime designed advertisements were presented too, the viewer's eye information was stored by the eye tracker in the form of fixation and duration. In addition, at the end of the test, the participants' attention to advertising was evaluated using an attention questionnaire. Analysis of the findings showed that in evaluation of the viewer's attention to advertising by questionnaire; there is no difference between males and females. But in both of Eye Tracking variables, females paid more attention to advertising than males. Also, the correlation between the results of the questionnaire and the Eye Tracker was not significant. Finally, in order to achieve new results and to develop the advertising industry, as well as identifying the factors affecting the effectiveness of advertising, it is better to use neuromarketing tools as a complement to other methods of data collection (questionnaire, interview, observation).

Abstract

Video feedback is a type of augmented feedback that includes showing an athlete or performing a skill with a video clip of oneself or another person performing a particular skill. The aim of the present study was to determine the effectiveness of dyad training with video feedback on learning crawl swimming. For this purpose, 24 male students ranging in age from 11 to 17 years, who had no previous experience in learning crawl swimming, formed two groups of 12 people in dual practice and dyad training with video feedback. Both groups were first justified by the instructor, then in the double exercise group, one of the trainees entered the water and the other watched him perform out of the water, and after trying, they reviewed the mistakes and movements with their friend. in the dyad rehearsal group, one of the friends filmed another performance and showed it to him. The training intervention lasted for 8 sessions and 10 training attempts in each session. After the end of the eighth session, the 10-meter breast crawl swimming acquisition test was performed, and then a reminder test was performed again one week later and filmed. The results showed that the two groups had significant differences in both acquisition and retention, and the dyad training group with video feedback performed better overall. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the dyad training with video feedback method, in addition to being cost-effective in terms of energy consumption and training space, is also more effective than dyad training in swimming training.

Abstract

Coaching is a dynamic and multidimensional process that involves the interaction between the coach, the athlete, the environment and the task, in order to enhance the athlete's performance. Based on the evidence, the coaching method can affect the behavioral aspects of the athlete. In this study, the effectiveness of student-based and coach-based coaching styles on sport self-efficacy and athletic performance of female gymnasts was studied. The research method was quasi-experimental and a pre-test-post-test design was used. The statistical population was female semi-professional gymnasts aged 11-14 in Tehran. The sampling method is one-stage cluster and the research sample was 40 female gymnasts. Variable assessment tools included Sport Self-Efficacy Questionnaire and a researcher-made sports performance Checklist. After the pre-test, the groups performed the athlete- based and coach- based exercises protocol separately for two months and two days a week in one-and-a-half-hour sessions. Covariance analysis was used to test the hypothese. Findings in the post-test stage showed that sport self-efficacy (P <0.001) and athletic performance (P <0.001) of female gymnasts in the student-based group were significantly higher than the coach-based group. It is concluded that student-based exercises style is more effective in increasing Gymnasts' sports self-efficacy and athletic performance compared to coach-based, and coaches are suggested to pay special attention to student-centered exercises in the training program for semi-professional gymnasts.

Abstract

The effect of relative and chronological ages on the motor abilities of 7 to 12 year old students
Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of relative and chronological age on the motor abilities of students aged 7-12 years. 600 male and female students were selected in three age categories: 7-8 years, 9-10 years, and 11-12 years. To determine the relative age, the date of birth was collected. Then, the months of their birth were determined and it was converted into months and years. The motor ability test was used to assess motor ability. Results showed that the chronological age was significant for the variable of motor abilities. Also, the relative age was significant for the variable of motor abilities. Comparison of means showed that the students born in the first and second quarters have a higher mean motor ability than students born in the third and fourth quarters. Also, students born in the fourth quarter have the lowest average motor ability. Results showed that the relative age on chronological age was significant. Therefore, female students for each of the age groups in the first and second quarters of the year have the highest score of motor ability, and female students in the age groups of 7-8 years, 9-10 years.

Abstract

One of the most important issues for the elderly is the issue of physical health and cognitive problems. The aim of this study was to compare the activity of dual resistance-cognitive task with different intensities on fatigue, balance and cognitive function of elderly women. The present study is an applied and quasi-experimental method with the presence of 20 elderly women aged 60 to 70 years, which was done as a one-session test and getting answers. Subjects performed exhausting tests of foot press with machine and shoulder press with dumbbell with combined cognitive load with two different intensities (70% 1RM with low cognitive load and 30% 1RM with high cognitive load) in two days with an interval of 48 hours and the results were recorded. Balance test, upper and lower torso muscle activity and Stroop test were measured. The results of fatigue time, cognitive test and balance were significantly different between the two intensities (p <0.05). But in relation to the middle spectrum of muscle frequency, no significant difference was observed between the two intensities (p> 0.05).  Using low-intensity, high-cognitive exercise is more effective in treating upper body fatigue, which puts more pressure, which may need further investigation to evaluate the long-term success of these programs.

Abstract

The outbreak of Covid-19 disease has had several effects on the sports industry in general and championship and professional sports in particular. One of these effects was the one-year postponement of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics as the world's largest sporting event. The main question of the present study was whether the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics is an opportunity or a threat for our country's sports caravan? In order to answer this question, grounded theory qualitative research method was used. Grounded theory includes several styles that were used in this study through the emerging finding of Glaser (1992) in data analysis. Sources used include interviews with athletes, coaches, veterans, experts, experts, and officials, as well as news and documents published on reputable Internet portals, including the International Olympic Committee website, the National Olympic Committee website, and the website of the Olympic Games Federations of the Month. 2019 to March 2020. Logical induction method was used to analyze the data during three stages of open, axial and selective coding. The results indicate that a total of 92 independent initial marks were generated in the extracted codes. These signs were then classified into 38 signs due to their multiplicity, which was based on conceptual and semantic similarity. As a result, sub-symptoms were classified into 12 sub-categories. Among these, two main categories of opportunities and threats of postponing the Tokyo 2020 Olympics emerged. Opportunity codes include 6 items (maintaining the health of athletes and people, increasing fitness, earning quotas, improving injuries, coherent planning, increasing youth experience) and also codes identifying threats of postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics include 8 items (physical and mental injuries, disorder). In the training program, there was a decrease in the level of performance, athletes' injuries, athletes' retirement, uncertainty of quotas, coaches' contracts, financial difficulties). According to the results, the one-year postponement of the Olympic Games due to the outbreak of the Corona virus can be considered an opportunity for athletes to gain more experience and plan by the federations and the International Olympic Committee, which can increase the chances of the country's athletes winning medals Upgrade.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the environmentally friendly behavior of active sports tourists visiting Bushehr beach sports tourism destinations for beach and water sports. The research sample consisted of 102 active sports tourists who were selected by available method and completed the research questionnaire. The research tools included questionnaires of Eco-friendly compliance, Eco-friendly policy, Eco-friendly disposition and word-of-mouth advertisement by Kontojiani and Kotoris (2014). Frequency and percentage indices were used for descriptive statistics and structural equation modeling was done using PLS3 software in the inferential statistics section. The results showed that the Eco-friendly compliance of sports recreation centers providing coastal sports tourism services has a significant effect on the word-of-mouth promotion of active sports tourists, and also the Eco-friendly policy among sports tourists has a significant effect on the Eco-friendly disposition. Eco-friendly disposition did not have a causal relationship with the word-of-mouth advertising of sports tourists. The compliance of sports tourism service providers with environmental protection indicators did not have a significant effect on the Eco-friendly disposition, and this indicates that those sports tourists who have an Eco-friendly policy, in any situation, they show their Eco-friendly disposition. Considering the influence of the Eco-friendly policy on the Eco-friendly disposition of sports tourists, it is suggested that courses and educational programs in different platforms for members of the society, especially sports tourists, in order to familiarize themselves with environmental issues and improve the way and their environmental attitude should be done.

Abstract

Our understanding of the effectiveness of small-sided games compared to other training methods is limited. Therefore, the aim of this study was to compare the role of small side games (SSG) and traditional teaching method on individual and team creativity of 11-12 year old soccer players. To conduct this study, among all the 11-12-year-old children of Iraq who were enrolled in football classes, 30 learners were selected by the available method and were randomly divided into two groups of traditional and SSG education. At first, the pre-test was taken by the video analysis method, and then the participants practiced football skills on the 7x7 field for 16 weeks and 4 one-hour sessions every week. Finally, the post-test was evaluated according to the pre-test. The analysis of the film was done based on the opinion of two experts and according to the previously identified practices. The results were analyzed by descriptive method and 2x2 ANOVA analysis in SPSS 24. The results of the study in the descriptive part showed that appropriate actions, creative and original actions have grown more in the SSG group compared to the traditional group. In this regard, inappropriate actions have shown a further decrease. In the section of inferential tests, the results showed that the effect of the test and test*group is significant for appropriate actions and the effect of the test for total actions showed the same result. In this regard, small side games can be played by placing the player in a small environment, allowing the player to have more opportunities to perform and less time to make decisions, which leads to the improvement of creativity in team sports such as football.

Abstract

The present study aimed to comprehensively elucidate and identify the entrepreneurial and goal-oriented strategies of sports startups entering both domestic and international markets. The research employed a qualitative method, falling under the category of exploratory studies in terms of objectives, foundational and applied research regarding outcomes, and was grounded in the postmodernism paradigm. The research population comprised experts in marketing, sports management, and successful entrepreneurs with experience in launching sports startups. Purposeful sampling was employed for participant selection. To construct the initial research tool, the researcher, after reviewing relevant studies on sports startups, developed a semi-structured questionnaire for in-depth interviews with experts. The research strategy followed a phenomenological approach, and data analysis was conducted using MaxQDA software, version 20. The results of the data analysis unveiled eight key concepts within the entrepreneurial strategies section, pertaining to the entry of sports startups into domestic and international markets. These concepts encompass partners, stakeholders and customers, tolerable loss, flexibility and adaptability, experiences, uncertainty, service quality, available financial resources, and operational strategies. These concepts were derived from the interviews, contributing to theoretical saturation. Furthermore, in the section on goal-oriented strategies, five concepts were identified: exports, communications, market strategies, market research, and risk management.

Abstract

The purpose of this foresight of Iran's educational sports with a balanced scorecard approach was in the horizon of 2035. The current research was of mixed type (qualitative-quantitative) and its design was of sequential exploratory type. The participants of this research were educational sports experts. The sampling method was snowball and based on theoretical saturation, 12 people were selected. Interviews and questionnaires were used to collect data and Lincoln & Guba (1985) criteria were used for its audit, which included validity, transferability, reliability and verifiability. In order to analyze the data in the interview analysis section, the coding method was used, the fuzzy Delphi method was used to screen the indicators and the structural analysis and scenario writing method was used in the future research section. By analyzing the interviews, 150 effective factors on the future of Iran's educational sports were identified based on the balanced scorecard, and by combining the primary codes in the secondary coding stage, these factors were reduced to 105. Then, in the axial coding stage, 18 subcategories based on 6 aspects of the balanced scorecard were formed by aggregating the final concepts adapted from the interview text, and the results of the Delphi analysis showed that the calculated factors correctly explain the desired phenomenon. Finally, based on the findings, 4 key drivers of efficient management, increase in audience satisfaction, development of information capital, and socialization of educational sports were obtained, which are the basis of the two main scenarios of transformation and fruitless willfulness. As a result, it is suggested that in order to develop educational sports in Iran, synergy and efficient management, increase audience satisfaction, development of information resources, and socialization of educational sports should be implemented.

Abstract

The aim of the present study was to examine the effect of cyberspace dependence on the explicit and implicit motor sequence learning task. For this purpose, the number of 48 subjects aged 16 to 19, were selected as available and was divided in four groups (12 people) including cyberspace dependent - explicit motor learning, cyberspace dependent - implicit motor learning, normal - explicit motor learning and normal - implicit motor learning. Kimberly Young's internet addiction test was used to distinguish between normal and cyber-addicted people, and SRTT software was used to check participants' learning. The data were analyzed using the mixed analysis of variance test with repeated measures. The findings showed that cyberspace dependence had a significant effect on the explicit and implicit motor sequence learning task, so that there was a significant difference between the two groups of cyberspace dependent and normal peers in the explicit and implicit learning motor sequence task. Normal people performed better in both explicit and implicit conditions than cyberspace dependent participants. According to the findings, it is suggested to reduce the excessive use of virtual space in the students by creating energetic movement programs in schools.

Abstract

The present study aims to investigate the variables of social networks in different positions in basketball. These variables were applied in two levels of analysis: micro (individual) and macro (global interaction of the team). 24 official Chemidoor Club competitions in the 2020 men's Iranian Premier League were selected by available sampling. This research analyzed the network properties of Degree, Betweenness, Closeness, Eigenvector, and Density centrality across teams and positions. The one-way ANOVA for the factor position in the micro-level found statistical differences between the game positions in the dependent variables of  Dc: (F(4,15)= 61/29, p= 0/000), Bc: (F(4,15)= 210/11, p= 0/000), Cc: (F(4,15)= 78/55, p= 0/000). However, no significant difference was observed in the Eig: (F (4, 15) = 1/58, p= 0/184). Results of post hoc test indices were significantly different between position 1 (point guard) and other positions.  Macro-level team density analysis showed a significant difference between performance results in successful and unsuccessful. The guard player role was observed as the situation that establishes the most interactions with teammates during the competition. Therefore, players with higher degrees were not the ones assisting the most shots. The other players with higher degrees were not the ones assisting the most shots. These results may be used as a tool for coaching to improve their teams’ strategies in concrete, measurable ways.

Abstract

Physical literacy is a topic that has attracted the attention of sports and health science researchers in recent years, and research is necessary and important to promote physical literacy. In this regard, the aim of this study was to the effect of physical education classroom of dynamic schools on the development of physical literacy of 9-year-old students. To achieve this goal, one class from dynamic schools (31 people) and one class as control group (34 people) were selected. To assess physical literacy, the Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy was used, which evaluates general body literacy as well as the subcategories of daily behaviors, knowledge and understanding, physical competence, and motivation and self-confidence. The results of covariance analysis showed that there is no significant difference between the two groups for the variable of daily behavior (p=0.506) and knowledge and understanding (p=0.052). But this difference is significant on physical competence (p=0.010), motivation and self-confidence (p=0.01) and the total score of physical literacy (p=0.000). With this solution, all variables improved more in the experimental group than the control group from pre-test to post-test. In general, the results of this study confirmed the positive impact of dynamic schools on physical literacy, which reveals the need to pay attention to the activities of dynamic schools. And its results can be used in schools and kindergartens.

Abstract

The aim of this study was Identifying the mental pattern of experts regarding sustainable revenue generation for sports federations (Karate, Judo, Taekwondo Federations). The current research is applied in terms of its purpose and exploratory analytical in terms of method, and based on the type of operations used, this research is of a mixed type. The statistical population of the research includes professors of sports management, managers of selected federations, and opinionated managers of the National Olympic Committee, who were investigated based on previous experiences using a purposeful sampling method with a snowball approach until the saturation point, in the number of 25 people. In the Delphi phase, the components and sub-components of the research were determined. Then the extracted factors were stratified using Q modeling by using Q factor analysis and SPSS 25 software. The findings showed that the most important revenue generating factors of the selected federations include the provision of non-sports products used by athletes by the federation, sponsors of athletes, income from the World Federation for the development of basic sports, income from participating in world competitions, annual contributions from the World Federation, Incomes from coaching classes, tuition fees for membership in basic teams, annual contributions from the Ministry of Sports, incomes from participating in world competitions. Therefore, it can be concluded that economic activities under the supervision of the federation to provide the products and services needed by athletes and to develop sources of income outside the federation should be included in the agenda of the federations.

Abstract

Considering the rapid process of technological changes, if a business cannot adapt itself to the changes in the environment, it will no doubt stop competing. Therefore, the entrepreneur should make a decision in the shortest possible time to take advantage of the opportunity. It has become more difficult, so this research was done with the aim of deciding to take advantage of the opportunity by emphasizing the role of the entrepreneur in sports businesses. This research is in terms of mixed method, in terms of developmental-applicative goal. In the first step, 36 indicators were identified from 32 articles, and in the second step, 36 indicators were extracted by the theme analysis method, and 27 indicators were confirmed by the Delphi method, and in the third step, 34 themes were identified from the lived experience of 6 people. Sports entrepreneur leaders were identified by research narrative method, and finally, after combining and integrating the three stages, 44 identification indicators were found in a 7-dimensional template, whose suitability and validity were confirmed using the t-test and the four criteria of adaptability, comprehensibility, generalizability, and control. became. Based on the findings, the entrepreneurial personality by creating seven roles of self-efficacy, independence, risk-taking, individual characteristics, creativity, effort and perseverance, entrepreneurial network and entrepreneurial skills and experience in improving decision-making in order to take advantage of entrepreneurial opportunities in sports and reduce environmental risk. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of the customer relationship management dimensions in promoting public sports from the perspective of sports managers in Kerman. The research method is descriptive correlation and the statistical population consists of all the managers of clubs and sports organizations in Kerman city. For data gathering, the questionnaires of the customer relationship management and the public sports are used. In order to analyze the data obtained for the research variables, the structural equation modeling the Smart PLS software is used. Findings indicated that three dimensions of customer relationship management namely Customer focus, relationship management and knowledge management has a direct and significant impact on promotion of public sports. According to the research results, it can be concluded that all managers of clubs and sports organizations governmental and nongovernmental need to do their utmost In order to communicate with the customer to encourage community participation and promote in public sports.

Attempting to enact both feminine and masculine gender-role norms may cause to some psychological and physical problems. This issue is concerned as gender-role conflict phenomenon in female athletes. However, research findings did not support sufficiently this notion. The purpose of this study was to explore the gender-role norms in the context of soccer and experience of gender-role conflict as women who participate in a traditional masculine sport such as soccer. 15 women soccer players between the age of 19 and 32 years old on Iranian super league were interviewed. The results indicated that women soccer players perceived numerous discrepant gender-role norms in the context of soccer. Also, it was explored three different types of gender-role conflict. Participants used various strategies to manege and coping with the gender role conflict. Overall, it is not an intense internal state of conflict, and applying some of those strategies can help them avoiding conflict.
