Abstract

Based on the notions and assumptions of the discourse of “new urban regionalism”, there is a close relationship between the "spatial morphological structure" and the "spatial division of labor" in a megalopolis region, and solving existing problems in one without another is not possible, because they can either act in the direction of positive reinforcement and support, or in order to weaken and become an obstacle to each other; therefore, what is meant by the problem of achieving equilibrium and integration in the spatial structure and the functional system in a megalopolis region, will not be possible without recognizing the nature and relationship between these two. The reviews done the research shows that "spatial morphological structure" and "spatial division of labor" in Tehran's megalopolis region during the recent decades has not been able to support each other and significantly reduce the spatial non-equilibrium in the region. Therefore, according to the results obtained in the framework of this study, the "spatial morphological structure" and "spatial division of labor" in Tehran's megalopolis region during the recent decades (1345-1390), has been accompanied by a significant reduction in the spatial non-equilibrium in the region, though, the trend of transformations is on the move. One of the strategic implications of this is that the future issue of the Tehran's megalopolis region is to be more focused on the peripheral population poles and the improvement of the level of performance of the city itself in order to accept transnational functions and create alternatives and opportunities for roles and the tasks that will be assigned to them in the future. Just as in the prior years the industry sector has gradually shifted to the service sector, in the future it also seems necessary to give up the services sector to itself periphery and oppose the acceptance of the fourth sector of the global economy (such as; Information, communication and cultural economy).

Abstract

Urban highways, as one of the most important sectors of transportation, have always been one of the most challenging, both in terms of budget consumption and its spatial, social, economic and environmental impacts on the city. It has been urban elements. To this end, this study analyzes the impacts of inter-city highways, examines the theories of how to deal with this spatial element, as well as the factors involved. The type of research is applied-theoretical and the method is documentary-analytical. The sources of information used in this research are all documents, documents, books, articles, plans, and scientific research on urban highways. The results indicate that there are favorable and disagreeable views and views on the creation of inter-city highways. Modernist thinkers and urban engineers, advocates of urban highways, and later urban planners and geographers, are opposed to one-dimensional attention to these highways and inner-city development relying on highways. The results also showed that the inter-city highways had social, economic, physical and environmental impacts and, depending on the location conditions and the socio-economic characteristics of the location, these impacts were positive and negative in space. Abstract

Return migration is a reaction to the attractiveness of rural areas. This type of migration can have many and varied effects on rural area reconstruction. The purpose of this study was to identify and analyze the effects of return migration on the reconstruction of rural settlements in Neyshabur. The research method is descriptive-analytic and a questionnaire based.  In this study, 37 villages in Neyshabur that had returning migrants were surveyed. And 55 effects of returning migrants on rural areas reconstruction were identified, that the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.942 indicates the optimal reliability of the research instrument. The indices were evaluated under three social dimensions with 18 indices (α = 0.925), economic with 21 indices (α = 0.891) and physical-environmental with 16 indices (α = 0.852). Exploratory factor analysis was used because t-test showed that there isn't significant difference between the three dimensions except social dimension. The results showed that 55 effects identified return migration can be classified as 14 main effects with 78.79% variance.  Accordingly, 1- increasing cohesion and solidarity among residents with 25.21% of variance, 2- improving service and welfare infrastructure with10.52% of variance, 3- boosting rural economy with7% of variance, 4- activating of capacities with 5.4% of variance, 5- developing Non-farming activities with 5% variance are the most important effects of return migration on the reconstruction of rural settlements.

Abstract

Today, housing has found a concept beyond a shelter and plays an important role in how the physical quality of cities. In fact, one of the most important ways to know the status of housing in the housing planning process is to use housing indicators. These indicators, which indicate the quantitative and qualitative status of housing in any period of time, can be considered as a suitable guide to improve housing planning for the future. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of leveling the neighborhoods of Bojnourd city based on housing indicators. The research is descriptive-analytical in nature and applied according to its purpose. The method of collecting information in the form of documents is library. In this study, 11 indicators related to housing quality were used to rank neighborhoods, and the Waspas model was used to rank neighborhoods. The statistical population of the study includes 42 neighborhoods of Bojnourd. Based on the results, it was found that half of the neighborhoods (22 neighborhoods) of Bojnourd  are in a favorable and completely desirable housing condition, in contrast to 28% of the city neighborhoods are in a relatively favorable condition that the number of population at this level is equal to It is 31% of the total population of the city. Finally, there is the unfavorable housing situation, which includes 8 neighborhoods of the city. The total population of these neighborhoods is equal to 17% of the city's population, which is located in an area of ​​973 hectares.

Abstract

Nitrogen dioxide is a significant factor affecting air quality in various regions worldwide. The aim of this study is to examine the concentration and trends of nitrogen dioxide pollution between 2005 and 2018, and explore its association with precipitation levels in the region. Based on data derived from the OMI sensor in Iran, the average vertical column concentration of nitrogen dioxide during this period revealed that the highest concentration was observed in the troposphere. Megacities, particularly Tehran metropolis, exhibited elevated levels of nitrogen dioxide due to the high population density and extensive road transportation. Analyzing the annual changes in nitrogen dioxide concentration in the troposphere alongside the average annual precipitation in Iran, it was observed that the pollutant concentration increased from 2005 to 2016 and subsequently decreased from 2016 to 2018, primarily due to population growth. However, when considering the overall trend, there was an upward trend with a slope of 3.53× -2. In contrast, the time series analysis of average annual precipitation in Iran demonstrated a declining trend with a slope of (-0.159 mm × ). Comparing the trends of these two variables, it can be deduced that they exhibit a negative correlation.

Abstract

One of the contemporary approaches to tourism involves leveraging virtual spaces and information technology, which have transformed tourism perspectives and eliminated boundaries between physical and digital environments. This research investigates the potential of virtual spaces in promoting tourism development in Konarak County. The study is classified as "applied" in terms of its objective and "descriptive-analytical" regarding its nature and methodology, utilizing "documentary and survey (questionnaire)" data collection techniques. The target population comprises expert professionals, with 35 individuals selected using a two-stage Delphi sampling approach. The content validity of the questionnaire was established through professional evaluation, while reliability was confirmed via Cronbach's alpha test (α = 0.852). Data analysis employed t-tests, path analysis, and DEMATEL methodology. T-test results indicated that virtual spaces (M = 4.22) surpassed the baseline threshold (3), demonstrating a significant impact on tourism development in Konarak County. Path analysis revealed that information technology infrastructure had the greatest influence (factor = 0.608), while e-commerce exhibited the least effect (factor = 0.250) on tourism development. DEMATEL analysis indicated that the telecommunications platform index (5.971) displayed the highest level of interaction, whereas the information index (5.671) showed the lowest interaction. The social network index (1.402) emerged as the most effective factor, and the telecommunications platform index (2.088) was identified as the most influential factor.The findings suggest that establishing technological infrastructure and promoting Konarak County's attractions through media platforms (television, news websites, etc.) represents a significant advancement toward the county's developmental objectives.
