Abstract

Green spaces have a key role in moderating urban micro-climatic conditions, beautifying urban landscapes, citizens' leisure time, and also reducing noise and air pollution and absorption of Aerosols. In addition to the significant advantages of green space, water consumption and irrigation needs is one of the main limitations of green space development in Tehran that nowadays faced to critical water shortage. Calculating water footprint in green spaces, as the total amount of fresh water required to maintain green space throughout the year, is one of the indicators by which the compatibility of tree and plant species with climatic conditions can be assessed. The main object of this study is to estimate the water footprint of Laleh Park in Tehran province of Iran. The Green space soil water balance (SWB) model was used to calculate water footprint in this park. The required data that including: average daily temperature, total precipitation and moisture depth of zero to 30 cm of soil, were obtained from the Geophysical meteorological station of Tehran for 2018. Data related to soil water drainage were also estimated based on standard laboratory samples of green space soils. The results indicated that in the warm months (June to September) of the year, the total water footprint of Laleh Park in Tehran was 4 to 5 thousand cubic meters per month (m3/m), while the winter months (December to March) total estimated water footprint were less than 1400 cubic meters per month. The generalization of 30 Centimeters depth soil moisture data of the geophysical meteorological station to Laleh Park, released that, in the warm month of the year, Green Water (groundwater or surface water) had the largest portion (more than 90%) in the water footprint of Laleh Park, While in the winter months (December and to march), the green water (water from snow and rain) is main participant in providing soil moisture, more than 90% of the total water footprint of Laleh Park  has related to this source.

Abstract

Increased temperatures in urban areas due to high energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are some of the problems of today's cities. Urban open spaces in hot and arid climates experience this problem more in summer. The purpose of this study is to show the relationship between morphological components of the urban fabric and thermal comfort through integrated analysis. In this study, urban fabric types were extracted by considering ground space index, floor space index, open space ratio, average height, streets orientation, streets organization, and type of plots according to their configuration of mass and space. To study thermal comfort, a field study was carried out in five neighborhoods in the historical context, for five continuous days in summer. Environmental variables including air temperature, humidity, radiant temperature, and wind speed were measured and the physiological equivalent temperature index was calculated using ENVI-met software and thermal comfort in the neighborhoods with different morphological characteristics was analyzed. The results showed that more than half of the data during the day in the hot season in all five neighborhoods are in conditions of extreme heat stress. Comparison of neighborhoods with different morphological features indicated that two neighborhoods with higher open space ratios, despite the difference in the orientation of the streets and the type of plots, have lower thermal comfort compared to other types. A neighborhood with a higher ground space index and a lower open space ratio has a lower average physiological equivalent temperature.

Abstract

Agricultural sector has an important role in development of countries. One of the obstacles to development in this sector, especially in Iran is significant fragmentation of agricultural lands. The aim of this study is to assess the farmers’ willingness to participate in land consolidation project using structural equation modeling. The population of this study consists of all farmers of Meymeh County and its surrounding cities and villages and Niloofar-Abi cooperative of Vazvan city. Data were collected on a sample of 156 farmers through face-to-face interviews based on a comprehensive structured questionnaire. Before the survey, the reliability and validity of questionnaire was initially evaluated on a pre-test study respectively by using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, expert’s judgment and Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) criteria. The results of this study show that the most important factors on farmers' willingness to participation are crop acreage and number of plots which respectively has the greatest positive and negative effect. The awareness of the farmers about benefit of consolidation project is another factor which has significant and positive impact on farmers' willingness. Furthermore, level of farmers schooling has no significant effect.

Abstract

Arasbaran is one of most important regions in terms of agriculture, economics and tourism in northwest of Iran that it usually receives the most yearly spring precipitation. To recognize the synoptic patterns of the 500 hpa, geopotential  height data were driven for coordinates 00-70 ˚ E and 15- 65˚N in rainy springs (1972-1976-1979-1981-1986).To select the most important component using principal components  analysis, a matrix S mode with dimensions 386×610 was used. The results showed that more than 92% of the total variance can be explained by 13 components. After clustering procedure on the 13 components, six circulation patterns were obtained. In 5 cases of the extracted patterns, there's a really high center of east Mediterranean and south east Europe, the most important component was detected during the wet spring. Other major factors will be referred to the short-wave atmospheric middle level that at this time of year is usually active between the Caspian Sea and the Black Sea and cause wet periods in spring in this area. The systems accompanying low active centers of located in Central Asia and their short waves bring instability and precipitation in the spring to this area.

Abstract

This study was performed to evaluate the extent of leaf area in Iran from (2002) to (2016) using Remote sensing. For this purpose, we extracted data collection and leaf area index for the Iranian territory from MODIS website. The database was established with programming in MATLAB software to perform mathematical and Statistical calculations repeated. After the analysis of the data in this software a monthly average long-term map was developed. The maps show that the central, East and South-East are almost empty of leaf area or seen very sparse in some areas. In contrast areas of leaves in the northern and western parts of Iran, are good, which generally includes fields, except forest Arasbaran and Hirkany. Precipitation and the temperature, is the main factors for the growth and development of plants, that these two conditions are enumerated in the west due to being on the way of westerly winds. Lowest leaf area index is for January and February and the highest average of leaf area is for May and June. Next, study of 15 years of leaf area index data by cluster analysis based on the calculation of Euclidean distance and Ward method, showed that all 12 months fit in the two main groups and, in fact, divided for two periods of strong and weak vegetation. In this analysis, , April during the cold period and October in the warm period of the year as the transition months and they are located on a separate cluster

Abstract

Vulnerability can be considered as an inherent defect in particular dimensions of the urban environment that is susceptible to damage due to its biological and physical characteristics or design features. Therefore, the present study aimed to investigate Ahwaz city structures and fine-tune its vulnerability from a passive defense perspective and to move it towards the future prospects of a safe city. This research is applied in terms of purpose and in terms of descriptive-analytical methodology based on the spatial-model studies approach. The data of this study include 11 educational, fire, administrative, police, power lines, terminals, urban facilities, business centers, roads, urban industries, gas transmission centers and health centers. GIS software was used to analyze the research data. Therefore, distance maps were designed and standardized for measuring the neighboring pattern after identifying the effective layers in the vulnerability and using the Distance tool. The FUZZY OVERLAY tool in ArcGIS software was used for spatial distribution and micro-zoning of Ahwaz vulnerability. The results show that in the section of vulnerability zoning, 29.73% of the city area is completely vulnerable, 29% vulnerable, 21.18% moderate, 13.22% low and 6.85% of the total city area in the state of vulnerability, respectively. There is very little reception.

Abstract

In this study, used the data of the Modis satellite. Satellite in the province of Hamadan for a period of 15 years to study and monitor the status of the leaf area index. The leaf area index data were analyzed. After extraction from the Modus website, coding was done in software and then extracted from the maps. Finally, the annual time series of leaf area index was obtained and its relation with rainfall and average temperature during these years. In order to investigate better, the cells above the one representing a better condition and higher leaf area density. In this regard, the years 2002, 2008 and 2011 were (0.01, 0.03, and 0.03%) of the lowest pixels higher than 1 and 2016 with 0.24 and 2014, 2009 and 2010 with 0.07 pixels higher than 1, the highest number of pixels. The common aspect of all years shows that in terms of pixels above the common places, all the years: the southern Hamadan gardens in the south of the Moradbeyk Valley, the Nahavand West fields, the south-east Malayer Gardens, the protected area Lashgar in the south-east of Malayer. The only difference seen in different years is the number of pixels. Finally, the time series of the data were the highest in 1389 and the lowest level of leaf area in the years 1381 and 2008.

Abstract

Today, the number of elderly people is increasing due to various factors such as changing life expectancy and population distribution. On the other hand, this period of life requires special needs such as care and health to other external and environmental factors. The social phenomenon of the city is not separate from this population group, ie the elderly, and urban planners using environmental theories can take steps to improve the use of the elderly in the city and its public spaces. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to explain the components of the elderly-friendly city with an environmental psychology approach in the eight cities of Shiraz. After identifying the characteristics to obtain the required information using a questionnaire tool that Cochran's method was used to determine the sample and GIS data were generated using Moran analysis of the desired layers and then using hierarchical analysis and Hot spot analysis of overlapping criteria was performed using fuzzy functions and urban spaces needed by the elderly were identified. Then, by confirming the hypotheses in this field that attention to social components along with components of spatial structure can be appropriate to improve the urban environment, suggestions in this area from attention to access and public transportation to creating an environment Elderly entertainment was provided.

Abstract

The science of urban planning, like other sciences, has been influenced by different intellectual currents. The origins of Folding urbanism, which owes much to philosophy in rhizome, based on Leipnitz mathematics, emerged in architecture by Peter Eisenman, which today survives on an urban scale with postmodern feminist literature as anti-Oedipus and anti-Freudian. Gives. Folding urban planning can be studied in three levels of geography, landscape and city. In this research, landscape and city levels are discussed. Objective: In this research, the evolution of folding is based on Foucault genealogy, which deals with the holes of history and power relations. In the field of urban planning of these relations, the ontology of urban topology layers according to Riemannian equations and Deleuze philosophy in the works of architects such as Peter Eisenman, Zaha Hadid, Eric Owen Moss, Charles Jenks, James Wines.  The research method in this paper is descriptive-analytical with a combination of inductive and deductive. The process of this research has reached the conclusion that Folding urbanism is based on Mendelbrot fractal geometry, Lotfizadeh fuzzy logic and in Lawrence chaos atmosphere and power relations in the glory of feminism and its manifestation on urbanism are the main reasons for the formation. Urbanization is a folding. Results: Similar theories used in folding architecture, rhizome, anti-Oedipus, Mobius, hermeneutic cycle, theories have been formed that are closely related to Gestalt psychology and the phenomenological view that is hidden in the philosophy of unity in plurality. In these theories, the component is folded in its entirety. The skyline, the accesses, the views and all the architectural reserves form a whole unit. Theories related to folding urban planning such as small-scale urban carpets in urban furniture have not been successful, but in single buildings have provided the desired philosophies and have been somewhat successful, and on a large scale in the city well phenomenology, unity in plurality , Contains rhizomes, anti-Oedipus and all the issues raised within it.
