Abstract

The Purpose of current article is to report a study on group, and individual cognative-behavioural psychotherapy in decreasing prisoners' psychological symptoms based on their religious knowledge.
By using systematic sampling technique 45 male prisoners in Rajaei Shahr Prison was selected randomly and allocated into three groups : a) 15 participants was allocated in individual cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy alongside group cognitive-behavioral one based on participants' religious knowledge(combined therapy group) b) 15 participants took part in individual cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy, based on participants' religious knowledge (individual  therapy group)and c)15 participant was placed on the waiting list for obtaining individual therapy(control group).
By using GHQ and SCL-90 tests, as well as a diagnostic interview done by a psychiatrist based on DSM-IV-TR criteria in pre and post period of recruiting interventions, participants' psychological status was measured.
The data was analyzed by using Multiple Analysis of Variance. The findings indicated that although both of combined therapy approach and individual therapy one had immense influence on decreasing prisoners' psychological symptoms, the amount of effectiveness of combined therapy approach was higher than individual therapy was.
One of the factors that have a remarkable impact on a successful cognitive therapy based on religious knowledge is the similarity of principles related to health psychology in cognitive-behavioural approach, and religious knowledge. Beck believes that a fruitful therapy happens when a patient approaches to realties. That point refers to aims, and consequences of saying prayers in Islam. Since Islam has an influential role in Iran culture, any kind of cognitive-behavioural intervention based on religious coulter have a considerable role in enhancing social-psycho adjustment for Iranian population.

Abstract

The aim of the current research was to investigate the relationship between the emotional exhaustion and organizational citizenship behavior by considering organizational citizenship behavior directed at individual (OCBI) as a moderator variable. Population of the current research included personnel of Karoon Oil & Gas Production Company and of this population, 144 persons were selected through random stratified sampling method. Measurement tools of the study were organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire developed by Podsakoff et al (1990), Maslash Burnout Inventory (1981). Data was analyzed through hierarchical regression analysis.Findings indicated that there was significant negative relationship between the emotional exhaustion and organizational citizenship behavior. OCBI moderated relationship between the emotional exhaustion and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB).Namely, in high OCBI there was significant negative relationship between the emotional exhaustion and organizational citizenship behavior, but in low OCBI this relationship disappeared. Confronting the emotional exhaustion, the managers should support personnel, so that more resources could be invested on the performances by the personnel.

Abstract

Although in the literature of the study the concepts of health and disease have been considered deeply dependent on each other, it seems that to differentiate them , indexes are needed which make clear both similar cultural characteristics and different cultural characteristics .In this study, an attempt was made to provide a new description of the classification of the mental health and disease and to investigate the role of different feelings in differentiating health from disease in Iranian collectivistic culture and Swedish individualistic culture. In this study, of a group of Iranian students (n=296) and of a group of Swedish students (n=310), a sample of students were selected. Results of the study showed that in the Iranian society there was a relationship between the mental health and balance affect while in the Swedish society there was a more significant relationship between the mental health and positive affect. It seems that in the typology of healthy and sick people there are four flourishing, languishing, trouble and symptomatic groups and that the positive and balance affects can differentiate these groups.

Abstract

With the revolution in the world of computer networks and the evolution of new technologies, online games have replaced traditional physical games and video games. The present study aimed to conceptualize online game addiction in Iranian adolescents based on grounded theory through semi-structured interviews. The participants were 20 adolescent boys aged 13 to 18 years old in Tehran who were selected through theoretical purposive sampling. MAXQUDA-10 software and Strauss and Corbin's (1998) thematic analysis approach including open, axial, selective, and theoretical coding were used to analyze the data and extract themes. The results of the interview analysis showed that the categories of filling leisure time, personal, communication, fame, and wealth acquisition were the most important causes of online game addiction in adolescents. The categories of personal, work, and marketing, and perceived social support constituted important areas of online game addiction. Improving attention and concentration, controlling anger, being cheerful and relieving depression, making friends, becoming professional, and becoming famous were the positive consequences of online gaming addiction, and ultimately, lack of time for daily activities, academic and personal decline, damage to physical health, and not being understood by the family constituted the negative consequences of online gaming addiction. It can be concluded that online gaming addiction in adolescents is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon that is influenced by individual, social, and family factors.
