						<title>The Path Analysis Model of Relations between Alexithymia, Family Function, and Quality of Life among High School Students of Tehran</title>

						<description>The aim of this study was to investigate the path analysis model of relations between Alexithymia, family function, and quality of life among high school students of Tehran. The research method was descriptive from causal non-experimental type. The research population included all students of Tehran and of this population 384 subjects were selected by simple cluster sampling method. To gather the data, Alexithymia Toronto Scale, Family Functions Questionnaire, and World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale were used. The data was analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics using mean, standard deviation, multivariate regression, and path analysis. The results showed that family function and alexithymia could predict the students’ quality of life. Likewise, good fit indices in path analysis model showed that Alexithymia had a mediator role in the relationship between family function and quality of life. Therefore, it could be concluded that family function had a main role in generating the Alexithymia in students and that Alexithymia could be an important factor in decreasing the quality of life.</description>

						<title>Spirituality and Coping Strategies in Family: A Test of the Mediating Role of Quality of Family Communication</title>

						<description>The purpose of this research was to study the role of spirituality in coping strategies and the mediating role of family communication in the relationship between the spiritually and copying strategies among the families. In order to examine the mediating role, 375 parents of the students in Kermanshah participated in the study. They were selected through multi cluster sampling method. Measurement tools of the study included Family Communication Scale (FCS), Sanctification of Marriage Scale, Sanctification of Parenting Scale, and Family Crisis Oriented Personal Evaluation Scales (F-COPES). To analyze the data, one way analysis of variance, correlation analysis and simultaneous regression analysis were used. Results showed that the families with high spirituality used the coping strategies including cognitive reframing, spiritual social support, and mobilizing the Family to acquire help more and the Passive Appraisal less than the families with low spirituality. Furthermore, through the mediating role of family communication, spirituality was directly or indirectly in relationship with the copying strategies. Finally, it can be conclude that through having appropriate communication and also through other effective factors the families with high spirituality can effectively cope with the internal and external family tensions.</description>

						<title>The Role of Family Efficacy in Forgiveness in the Family and in Spirituality in Married Individuals</title>

						<description>The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between the family efficacy and the forgiveness in the family and the spirituality in male and female married individuals. A correlational method was employed and the following tools were used: The Family Assessment Device, The Family Forgiveness Scale and the Spiritual Strengths and Attitudes Scale. The sample included 200 individuals who were chosen on the basis of the availability in the City of Tehran. Results of the statistical analyses showed that there was a significant and positive correlation between the scores on the FAD and forgiveness in the family and spirituality, so that subscales of the FAD such as &quot;overall family&quot;, &quot;family roles&quot; and&quot;emotional involvement” accounted for the largest amount of variance in predicting the forgiveness and the overall score on FAD significantly predicted spirituality. It is concluded that forgiveness and spirituality as two important psychological constructs correlate significantly with the efficacy in the family.</description>

						<title>Effectiveness of Group Emotional Intelligence Training in Gifted Students’ Psychological Well-being</title>

						<description>This study aimed at investigating the effect of group emotional intelligence training on Training in junior Gifted Students’ Psychological Well-beingin the second area of Isfahan city. Research method is quasi-experimental with pre-test, post-test design and follow-up testing with placebo and control group. Population of this study was the students of Imam Sadiq School in Isfahan who were admitted in this school based on specific measures including IQ and an entrance exam. A sample of 45 students was selected by simple random sampling. Then these subjects were put into three groups of fifteen: experimental group, placebo group and control group. In order to measure the main variables of the model, Baron’s emotional intelligence and Ryff’s psychological well-being were used. The pre-test was performed on the three groups and then the experimental group underwent eight 90-minute sessions. Following the intervention, the post-test was performed on the three groups and 2 months later the subjects were followed up. Then the data was analyzed by the analysis of covariance with repeated measures. Results of the covariance analysis with repeated measures showed that the emotional intelligence training could have an effect on increasing the psychological well-being and its components including self- acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, meaningful life and personal growth. It seems that introduction of courses with emotional intelligence contents in schools can be effective in mental health and psychological well-being of the students.</description>

						<title>Effectiveness of Motivational Interviewing in Impulsivity Reduction of Substance Users under the Methadone Treatment</title>

						<description>This study was conducted to investigate the effectiveness of motivational interviewing in reducing the of Substance Users’ impulsivity who were under the Methadone Treatment. In a semi-experimental study, 40 methadone users of one of the addiction treatment centers in Yazd city were selected through availability sampling method and were then divided into two experimental and control group of twenty. In both groups two variables, age and economic satisfaction, were under control. In this research Barrat Impulsivity Scale was used to obtain the data. The experimental group underwent seven 90 minute sessions of motivational interviewing. Following the intervention, the two groups completed the above-mentioned scale as the post test. The post test revealed that motivational interviewing had an effect in reducing cognitive, motor impulsivity and non-planning in the subjects of the experimental group. Results of the study showed that motivational interviewing could significantly decrease cognitive, motor impulsivity and non-planning in experimental group in comparison to the control group.</description>

						<title>Effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Group Therapy Based on Executive Functions in the Improvement of Executive Functions in Individual with ADHD</title>

						<description>The aim of the current study was to examine the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral group therapy based on executive functions in improving the executive functions in students with Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). This study was carried out in 2011-2012 academic year using pre­-­post- test design with a control group. Students of Mashhad’s Ferdowsi University who were previously diagnosed with ADHD or who were showing the symptoms of ADHD at the time of the study were invited to participate in this study. Primary diagnosis was based on the Barkley Adult ADHD Rating Scale—IV (BAARS-IV) and final diagnosis of the disorder was done through psychiatric interview. Finally, 32 students were selected as the subjects of the study and were randomly divided into a control and an experimental group. The experimental group received EF based cognitive-behavioral group therapy. In addition to BAARS-IV all participants completed Barkley Deficits in Executive Functioning Scale (BDEFS) at pre­-­post-test assessments. Results of MANCOVA &amp; ANCOVA tests showed that participants in the experimental group improved their executive functions including time management, planning, organization, self-motivation, and emotional self-regulation. Results of the study demonstrated that EF based cognitive-behavioral group therapy was effective in improving the executive functions in student with ADHD. Therefore, along with other treatments this treatment can be used as a modern approach for improving the executive functions of students with ADHD.</description>

						<title>The Diagnostic Role of Autobiographical Memory, Attachment and Identity in the patients with the Post-traumatic Stress and Generalized Anxiety Disorders</title>

						<description>The present research has been conducted to study the diagnostic role of autobiographical memory, attachment and identity in the patients with the post-traumatic stress and generalized anxiety disorders. The selected samples in this causal-comparative study included 24 patients suffering from the post-traumatic stress disorder, 20 suffering from the generalized anxiety disorder and 32 normal people in similar ages and social conditions. They were tested and interviewed during two sessions after the researcher has explained them the necessary details and have got their consent. Beck’s depression inventory, Beck’s anxiety inventory, the revised event-effect scale, the attachment scale, the identity assessment scale, the autobiographical memory interview and the autobiographical memory test were used to achieve the goal of this research. The results revealed that healthy people’s performance was better than the performance of those suffering from PTSD in all the subscales of autobiographical memory in the three different periods of childhood, adulthood and the recent past and both in the semantic and episodic sections. Furthermore, the results of the autobiographical memory test indicated a reduction in PTSD suffering patients’ specific memory in comparison to the people in the normal group. Also GAD suffering people’s performance was better than that of PTSD suffering ones only in the subscale of adulthood events. The coupled comparison of the groups showed that the average secure attachment style in the healthy group was significantly higher than that of the people in the GAD group however, the average score is lower in this group than the other two patient ones in terms of insecure anxiety. The analytical-diagnostic results also showed that 69.7 percent of people in these three groups have been accurately placed in their groups.</description>
