تأمین غذا جهت تحقق امنیت غذایی از اهداف مهم توسعه در تمامی کشورها تلقی می­شود، کاهش ناامنی غذایی برای دولت‌ها به­عنوان یک دستاورد مهم سیاسی و اجتماعی قلمداد می­گردد. یکی از اثرات ناامنی غذایی در نواحی روستایی بر روی تعداد مبتلایان و مرگ‌ومیر ناشی از همه‌گیری کرونا است. در همین راستا تحقیق حاضر به دنبال پاسخ به سؤالات زیر است که وضعیت ناامنی غذایی نواحی روستاهای موردمطالعه در چه سطحی قرار دارد؟ و ناامنی غذایی چه تأثیری بر توزیع فضایی مبتلایان و مرگ‌ومیر کرونا دارد؟ نوع تحقیق کاربردی و از نظر ماهیت توصیفی-تحلیلی است. جامعه آماری این تحقیق تمامی روستاهای بخش مرکزی شهرستان زنجان است که به‌صورت تمام شماری این روستاها بررسی شده‌اند. روش گردآوری اطلاعات به‌صورت کتابخانه‌ای و روش تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها نیز به‌صورت آمار توصیفی و تحلیل فضایی است. یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد، میانگین ناامنی غذایی روستاهای موردمطالعه برابر با ۳۶.08 درصد است، بالاترین میزان ناامنی غذایی مربوط به دهستان تهم با 40.76 درصد و کمترین میزان ناامنی غذایی مربوط به دهستان معجزات است. جهت تحلیل اثرات ناامنی غذایی بر مرگ‌ومیر ناشی از کرونا از رگرسیون وزن‌دار جغرافیایی استفاده شده است، بر همین مبنا بر اساس نتایج به‌دست‌آمده از این ابزار تحلیل فضایی، پهنا برابر با 172/0، مربع‌های باقی‌مانده برابر با 2836، عدد مؤثر برابر با 16.86، زیگما برابر با 5.64 و مقدار ضریب تعیین که میزان ارتباط خطی بین دو متغیر را اندازه‌گیری می‌کند برابر با 72/0 محاسبه شده است، بنابراین می‌توان گفت با افزایش ناامنی غذایی میزان مرگ‌ومیر ناشی از کرونا نیز افزایش پیدا می‌کند.
