Abstract

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of neuroticism on processing of emotional faces in adolescents. The subjects of the study (30 subjects with high neuroticism and 30 subjects with low neuroticism) were selected based on their scores in Junior Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (JEPQ) and also a semi-structured clinical interview was performed. Then computerized pictorial version of modified dot-probe task was carried out on them. The data were analyzed through mixed analysis of variance. The results of this study indicated that adolescents with high neuroticism showed significant vigilance to angry emotional face while adolescents with low neuroticism showed significant avoidance from angry face. The findings of this study demonstrated that personality trait of neuroticism in adolescents can cause attention biases to emotional faces.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate The Role Emotional Expressiveness and Fear of Intimacy at Prediction of Quality Interpersonal Relationship at the Individuals with Cancer. This research was a descriptive study of correlational and causal-comparative. The population of this study was all Cancer Individuals of shahid Ramezanzadeh Center of Yazd. From this community, 115 people were selected via Convenience Sampling. There King  & Emmons’s emotional expressiveness, Descutner and Thelen’s Fear of intimacy and Pierce, Sarason, Sarason’s quality of interpersonal relationships were used for this research. Pearson correlation and Enter regression were used for statistical analyze. The data were analysis using spss22 software. . Findings indicated that there is a significant and Negative relationship between Fear of intimacy with quality of interpersonal relationships (-0/379) and there is a significant and Positive relationship between emotional expressiveness with quality of interpersonal relationships (0/598). According to the findings, 49 percent of the variance in quality of interpersonal relationships are explained by emotional expressiveness and Fear of intimacy.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the structural model of explaining social-emotional assets based on emotional intelligence and emotional reactivity with the mediating role of patience. The design of the present study was applied and correlational by structural equation modeling. Sample of the study were 625 (399 girls and 226 boys) were selected by cluster random sampling add answered the social-emotional assets and resilience scale, emotional intelligence and emotional reactivity questionnaires and patience scale. Pearson correlation methods and structural equation modeling were used to analyze the data. The results showed that both the variables of Patience and emotional intelligence had direct and significant effects on social-emotional assets and the mediating role of the patience in the relationship between emotional intelligence and emotional reactivity with social-emotional assets was significant, too. Overall, the results of this project showed that emotional intelligence and emotional reactivity have significant effects on social-emotional assets with mediating role of patience. So, fostering of this moral virtue could beneficial for reinforcement of social-emotional assets.
