سندرم متقاطع فوقانی از شایع‌ترین اختلالات بالاتنه است که با 65-45 درصد از دردهای شانه مرتبط است. هدف از این تحقیق بررسی اثر تمرینات اصلاحی متمرکز بر عکس‌العمل‌های زنجیره‌ای، روی وضعیت کتف، حس عمقی و ثبات عملکردی شانه دانش آموزان دختر دارای سندرم متقاطع فوقانی بود. 30 نفر از دانش آموزان دختر 14 تا 18 سال شهرستان ارومیه که دارای ناهنجاری مذکور بودند به صورت هدفمند انتخاب و به شکل تصادفی به دو گروه تجربی (15 نفر) و کنترل (15 نفر) تقسیم شدند. از متر نواری برای ارزیابی فاصله بین نقطه میانی استرنوم به برجستگی کوراکوئید و فاصله خلفی جانبی آکرومیون به بخش مهرهای توراسیک (وضعیت کتف)، فلکسومتر لیتون جهت اندازهگیری حس عمقی، از آزمون Y به منظور ارزیابی عملکرد اندام فوقانی و برای سنجش زاویه سر و شانه به جلو و کایفوز به ترتیب از گونیامتر، متر نواری و خط کش منعطف استفاده گردید. از آزمون t مستقل و وابسته به ترتیب برای مقایسه میانگینهای بین گروهی و درون گروهی استفاده شد. مطالعه حاضر، اثر تمرینات اصلاحی بر وضعیت کتف، حس عمقی و ثبات عملکردی شانه دانش‌آموزان دختر دارای سندرم متقاطع فوقانی را معنادار نشان داد.
